🌟 Letter to Bach: A Reflection on the One-Year Anniversary of The Bach’s Wish Fund

Blog Post

My Dearest Bach,

One year ago today your name became more than a name. It became a vow. A thread binding my love for you to a promise carried outward, to children whose lives may never touch yours yet are now forever linked through hope. The Bach’s Wish Fund was not simply founded. It was born. It was breathed into being as an echo of you, a living testament that love does not sit quietly.

This first year has been astonishing. What began as a whisper has swelled into a chorus. With the kindness of strangers, with the devotion of friends, with the stubborn insistence of parents and teachers who refuse to give up on their children, a wish became something larger than all of us. Scholarships found their way into villages where education once seemed like a rumor. Programs grew roots, giving not only financial relief but also courage, guidance, belief. Dreams that once flickered faintly now stand taller, brighter.

And Bach, in each child’s face I caught glimpses of yours. A laugh, a shy glance, the spark of possibility. Every time I placed an envelope into a student’s hand, it was as if I were planting seeds for your future too, a reminder of the kind of world I want waiting for you. One where doors are not locked by birthplace but opened by imagination.

There were nights of fatigue, days of questions, hours when I wondered whether the weight was too heavy. Yet then I thought of you. Fatherhood has no pause, no retreat, no button to press for rest. It is permanent. It is sacred. In remembering this, strength returned, sharper and steadier than before.

In twelve short months, the Fund has touched over a thousand lives. Students from Ben Tre, Dong Thap, Dong Nai, Binh Thuan. Families recovering after storms. Communities gathering together in moments of loss and rebuilding. But these are not just figures on a page. They are voices, footsteps, laughter, second chances. They are proof that possibility can be redirected, that futures can be rewritten.

My son, you are still too young to hold all of this meaning, too small to know what your life has already sparked. But the day will come. You will read these words. You will see that your existence became the catalyst for something neither of us could have imagined alone. Children stayed in school because of you. Students continued learning because of you. Dreams that might have withered were kept alive because of you.

As this milestone passes, I hold two prayers close. That the Fund continues to expand so more children can walk paths once closed to them. And that you, Bach, grow with the knowledge that love is not fragile. Love is strength. Love can lift whole communities. Love can move generations forward.

Happy first anniversary, my son. This journey belongs to you as much as it does to me. Together, we will keep planting hope. One child at a time. One scholarship at a time. One dream after another.

With all that I am,
Dad
